The Vierradenmühle is inextricably linked to the history of Görlitz. It was probably already there after the city was founded in 1200, but it was built at the latest during this time. Four undersized, clumsy wheels gave the mill its name. Over the course of its eventful history, the mill underwent many renovations, but the biggest one was in 1928, when its outhouses were demolished and the mill was converted into a new hydroelectric power station (1929/30).
The Cerobski family looks forward to welcoming you to their restaurant, an important architectural monument. The predestined location of the Vierradenmühle directly on the old town bridge, which connects the German and Polish parts of the European city, is just a special feature of the listed property, as electrical power is also generated from hydropower here, below St. Peter's Church. A glass plate in the floor provides a view of the turbine.
The Vierradenmühle only offers specialties from Silesian and Lusatian cuisine.
Because the Cerobski family attaches great importance to high-quality ingredients and local recipes, the family also handles a large part of the ingredient production themselves: “From pork to sausage, we prepare everything ourselves!”
So, dear guests, you can look forward to our homemade dishes, which are seasoned and prepared according to grandma's herb mix recipe, from the basic product to the completion of the dish.
